Highlights of Concal - 30 Sep 2017 by Puneet Singh Marwah

Nifty - Low 9687 - 9685 - Long term trend Stop Loss. We may witness panic selling below this level. Trigger 9630, 9606 last hope and might reverse from that level. If not reversed from this level, we can see 9470-9500. We have to revisit the charts around 9600 to decide the next turn.

Reliance Infra - Long term symmetrical formation with volumes not sustainable. Once it breaks the current support of symmetrical triangle 457 and stands we can see 432, 416. Buy put of 420 if it breaks 457 and sustain as immediate target will be 441.

Bank of Baroda - Stock is in deeper correction - can reach to 128. Breaking 137 with a target of 132, 128, 123

DHFL & Escorts - Good quarter result expected. Maintain buy.

Axis Bank - Is in negative channel. 524 is higher end, 480 is lower end. If we are breaking 490 levels and consolidate this time we can see 425 levels. Below 500 levels keep the stock in radar

Members Queries -

JSW Steel - Stock has already move. Trend is negative. 125-124 - best support and 140 should exit. Possibility of reaching 125 is expected more. Shorting opportunity can establish if 132 breaks. If breaks 125, we might see 106 levels which is little difficult and can be decided at the levels of 125.

Vimta Labs - 120 is best support to buy. Less Volumes. Entry 120, 117, 113 with a stop of 109

Ashok Leyland - Given buy at 92 levels with target of 140, 180, 200. Currently it is at 120. Would suggest to wait for Nifty correction, buy when the stock comes down at 112, 102, 98 levels and keep it in portfolio

Tata Motors - It is a turnaround. We have bought at 480 / 490 levels we have not booked. I am bullish and it is portfolio stock. You should not be in for 100 or so movements but for the longer target of 1000 and above.

South Indian Bank - Buy - 26,24 with 6 to 8 months perspective.

Crude - Cooling period going on and its not bearish. Holding currently. Monthly breakout has given with volumes. if you want to buy now - enter at 3330 with a stop of 30 points for 3500 and sustain (around 15 days) for 4100 and higher.

Star Paper - Trying to bottom down and distribution going on. Current support 170, 150, 148 levels. Below 170 and sustain it is a problem and can see 150, 148 levels soon

ICICI Pru - Bottom at 362 levels - good support and buy for portfolio buy for longer period. Trend is making topping formation.

DHFL - Quarter results are good. Higher end 650, 680, 700, 750 levels. Start adding before 10 days of results and you will make good return.

Auro Pharma - Double bottom formation. 680, 690 levels should see some consolidation. 650, 648 levels is good entry levels. When Nifty breaks keep the levels in mind and enter

Lakshmi Energy - Sooner or later it should bounce back and next three months should see 52 - 55 levels. Company has posted profits, it is the matter of time when analysts realize and enters the counter.

Bajaj Hind - Not bullish on commodity sector. It is trending down and short term view is negative.

Bombay Dyeig - Hold for the target of 800. We have entered at 70 levels and would suggest to keep it in portfolio

BFS: Holding the scrip from 47 levels. It is the matter of the time, the stock will give positive returns with the initial target of 70 - 72 levels.

Tata Power - Is in range bound. REC is good. If you get at 140, 137 levels - buy and hold

Vakrangee - I don't follow much. Charts is showing the sell. Monthly it has made the hammer candle. Book profits.

Idea - Need something more innovative & quality to compete with Jio for it to work.

SBI - 237, 235 is the best support. PSU will correct.

RBL Bank - Portfolio Stock. Lack of performance in last few quarters but management is good and working on it. 460 levels can be a good entry.

As per my understanding of investment cycle, the whole world is in state of jittery natured product,  which lacks fundamental strength and communicates imbalances on account of stimulation

Most of economic barometers seems well driven to protect investors interest and this should continue for a while till the structure is self explanatory and centred.

With lack of comparative avenues the liquidity is bound to be driven, into rolling equities. I find it's the best way to inject money into system via industry, followed by their performance and percolates more jobs and real growth.

I feel the govt is doing best to dilute govt stakes and collect the sufficient to fight odds -

Basics of Candlesticks

Suman kancharla is giving the brief on what was covered in the session:

Hi Guys. Today it is very wonderful session taken by Ms. Deepa Madam. Which covers the below.

1. Basics of chart patterns and candle sticks like head and shoulders flag patterns. Example: Apollo hospital chart and wockhardt hospital charts
2. Basics of candle sticks
3. Importance of resistance and supports
4. Where to enter trade n setting target and stop loss.
5. Importance of volume when entering the trade
6. Once you find any pattern on monthly chart. Then drill that chart pattern to daily n weekly chart and study further before entering a trade
7. Most important is do paper trade for some time n once confidence is reached start trading.
8. Choose the style which suits us rather than what every one is following. Ex. Intraday, positional, Futures or options

Hope this helps. Frnds plz add your points also who have attended the session for the benefits of others. Thanks once again to MS. Deepa mdm for efforts today🙏🙏🙏👍👍. Gn all

Shailesh Alimchandani continued:

1. Covered Difference between Fundamental and Technical Analysis.
2. Japanese Candlestick Charting, hollow /  Light Candlesticks indicates Buying pressure , Dark / Filled candlesticks indicates selling pressure
3. Parts of candlestick and their meanings, interpretations
4. Different Bullish, Neutral and Bearish candlestick patterns - single, two and three candle patterns eg. Hammer, Morning star, shooting star, evening star,
5. Trend indicating Chart patterns eg. Head and Shoulder, Flag, Double Top, Double Bottom, all with live examples
6. Important rules - when not to use candlestick.
7. Do paper trade/ mock / drill/ Virtual trade while learning
8. Never enter your trade without a stoploss

Yogesh Lassi further said: She explained really well. She wants us to emphasize on volumes support , and showed us how 3 common points of candles lets us draw line - which can act as support n resistance ..... Patterns can be observed i.e : flag , inverted head n shoulders or pattern forms in slanting way acc to candle formations....n we should not trade jus if we find hammer we t supposed to find many other confirmations like oscillators which r RSI,MACD n for oscillators she would try to conduct webinar within a week may be .... So overall clarity increased.... tysm mam☺

Mehul Shah in his words about what he could make out from the session: My Key takeaways from Deepa Mam's session on Learning Basics of Chart

Objective of group is not to share recommendations but to learn Trade in F&O based on learning of Fundamentals and Technical Skill sets.

Questions should arise in mind and never to hesitate to ask any basic/silly questions.

Exit on Stop Loss

Observe and be conscious about How we react to volatility v/s our Trade.

Look at what make sense personally that may be Fundamentals/Technicals/Market Information/Sources/Institutional actions

Red candles reflects charge of Bear showing Top to Bottom price of particular period as: High-Open-Close-Low. Whereas Green/White candle reflects charge of Bulls showing Top to Bottom price of particular period as: High-Closing-Opening-Low.

Candlestick Patterns  and charts are brilliantly explained with live example in an interactive way has given me very valuable inputs and reviewing today recoding  step by step has helped me in my better understanding.

I got clarity on Single, Double and Triangle Candle patterns.

Through  Candlestick Patterns on charts I got  understanding on Head & Shoulder, Rectangle-double top & double bottom, Symmetrical Triangle and Flag patterns. Now I am also clear about Entry & Exit when chart shows movement of Resistance Line Breakouts or Support line Breakouts.

As suggested, I will start studying 4-5 Co's chart on routine basis and will be sharing with Group during weekends.

Intraday Trading Strategy is not advisable,  instead tracking charts and entering into Trade when reversal pattern happens.

Buy stock when resistance level is broken out with volume.

To observe trend and work accordingly so probabilities of making money will be higher.

Once again Thanks Deepa Mam & Puneetji for so kind to us. 🙏👍

Weekend Fun

After very long time, I saw some activity that made me think of the blog again. Thanks to Sharmil Shah who initiated the discussions to see what members of our group think would be a good investment at current levels. Here it goes in their own words, which stock and why. This post is of our group members who share their ideas of stock and this does not necessarily mean that it is a good investment or we are recommending the stock to buy We do not intend to give any recommendation to general public and we are not SEBI Registered Investment Advisers. We have uploaded the conversation here to make it available for our group members at the centralized place.

Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd (BEPL)

Industry: Speciality chemicals

Cmp:82

Buy range 70 to 75

BV:10.5

Brief and conviction: Manufacturing of 1200 colors of chemicals and BEPL is a vertically integrated petrochemical company that manufactures ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene yv.  Styrene) which acts as a raw material for companies dealing in automobiles, home appliances, telecommunications, luggage, bus body and various other industries. The company manufactures over 1200 colours and 200 different grades of engineering plastic. It supplies in lots as small as 500kgs and also up to 5 tons. Margins vary across different orders depending on the size of the order as well as delivery time lines.

BEPL has a plant in Satnoor and Abu Road each. Recently it completed expansion from 51,000 MTPA to 80,000 MTPA. In its next phase of expansion this will increase to 137,000 MTPA by mid FY18E.

In May 2013, BEPL entered in to a 50:50 technical JV with Nippon A&L Inc., Japan (jointly owned by the globally renowned Sumitomo Chemicals Co. Ltd. and Mitsui Chemicals, Inc.) which will enable the Company to cater to the growing demand of ABS resins, ASA resins, AES resins and other Specialty polymers in the field of Automobile, Telecommunication, Electrical and Electronic goods. With the help of Nippon, the company has been able to foray in to the automotive industry in both 2 wheelers as well as 4 wheelers. The company is an approved supplier of ABS to Yamaha, Suzu, HMSI and Maruti Suzuki. All manufacturing is carried out by BEPL while NAL receives a royalty. Within the appliances industry the company is an approved vendor for Sansung, LG, Videocon, Cello, Montex.

BEPL’s order booking remains a continuous process & typically the order book is covered for the next 20 days. However with the fixed supply agreements with HMSI, Samsung, LG , TGKirloskar & various other MNC the order book is full throughout the year. BEPL  currently imports both styrene and butadiene and maintains an inventory of about 1-1.5 months. Sometimes if prices are expected to go up or supply is expected to go down, they also maintain inventories up to 6 months. The call is taken based on prevalent market conditions.

As per the management, the overall demand for ABS is ~300,000 tons whereas the domestic supply is only ~160,000, balance being filled through imports. However, imports are largely of natural grade ABS. Over the last 7 years, demand has grown by 2.5x. Going forward it is expected to grow by 10-15% driven by demand from auto and electrical appliances. A lot of refrigerator companies are also moving from HIPS to ABS.

BEPL is planning further port based expansion of 200,000 tons by FY21 and which is presently being transported from the plan in Madhya Pradesh to the Abu Road Plant. As of now the plan is to shift all of its current facilities at this port based location.

BEPL’s current capacity utilisation is around 64%. Due to Environment Clearance getting delayed the capacity was not fully exploited last year. However the Environment Clearance was received recently & during the current year it is expected reach capacity utilisation of 80% (of 80,000 MTPA).

Given the increasing demand, Increasing capacity utilization, marquee clientele and strong order book are key positives for the stock. At the CMP of INR 82, the stock trades at 28.86x EPS of FY17.

CDSL facilitates holding of securities in electronic form and enables security transactions, off market transfer and pledge through book entry.

Conviction points -
The very recent news about extending the trading time is in itself a positive news for CDSL. It has a market share of 43 per cent in cumulative demat accounts and an extended time would mean more inflow of funds.

CDSL's demat account base has grown at a CAGR of 8.6 per cent over FY2011-17. Meanwhile, with capital markets remaining buoyant, the growth in demat accounts is likely to remain strong In the coming years.

For FY17, it reported a net profit of Rs 87 crore on revenues of Rs 146 crore. During FY13-17, CDSL's revenue and net profit have witnessed a CAGR of 10 per cent and 12 per cent respectively.

The only point of concern is that CDSL does not has the flexibility to increase its fees as and when its costs go up as these are regulated by SEBI , which is a key risk in the business of CDSL.
